No, one dies as per my knowledge, I also work for eye hospital so the process is very clear, before patient go for surgery we ask them to share their BP, hypertension and sugar level report of any other illness status and report, accordingly after evaluating all the report ophthalmologist agree to process for surgery, so no chance of dying from eye surgery anymore, but patient also need to support the hospital and the doctor to make them aware about such reports and his/her health condition.
