Steps for Lasik & SMILE procedure

Steps for LASIK /SMILE Procedure:

-          Your eyes will be numbed with the help of some numbing drops

 prior to the procedure.

-          On the operating table, your eyes will be cleaned and a sterile sheet will be placed.

-          Your surgeon would ask you to concentrate on the focusing light and a suction cup will approach your eye and touch it gently.

-          In SMILE procedure the laser fires for 20- 30 seconds within the layers of the cornea after which your surgeon will gently remove the lenticule through a keyhole incision.

-          In BLADE FREE LASIK the laser creates a flap in 10 seconds thereafter another laser is used to remove your number in just 10-15 seconds.

-          The entire procedure takes approximately 7 minutes per eye and immediate post the procedure you are allowed to go home wearing protective shades or goggles.

-          You will be prescribed a set of medications for approximately 1-2 months which you would start immediate post the procedure.
